Joan Mae (Williams) Christ

Joan M. Christ, age 82 of Prairie du Chien passed away from colon cancer on Friday May 19, 2023, in her home with her 2 daughters by her side. She was born June 26, 1940, in Lancaster, WI, the daughter of Carl and Laura (Louthain) Williams.  She married Charles Christ on October 6, 1960, in Cas Grande, AZ. Charles preceded in death on February 12, 2007. Joan was a member of the Prairie du Chien United Methodist Church.  She loved to fish and spend time in her flower gardens. She also enjoyed crafting and traveling with her daughters.  Most of all, she loved her dog, Murphy. Joan is survived by her sons, Charles Jr. (Shari), Tracy (Sue), and Todd (Sonja), her daughters, Cindy Kellogg and Wendy (Mark) Milewsky, a brother Ron, and a sister, Pat Schlake, 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, brothers, Jack, Bill, Bud, Bob, a sister, Jean, and a son in law, Maurice Kellogg. 

A Memorial Service will be Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Prairie du Chien, with Pastor Zach Bloom officiating.  A Private Interment will take place at a later date in the Boscobel Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. In Lieu of flowers, make donations to the United Methodist Church.
