Jodi Lynn (Meng) Fischer

Jodi L. Fischer, age 59 of Prairie du Chien passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Bagley, WI on December 11, 1963, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Suck) Meng. Her family then moved to Jefferson, WI where she graduated high school with the class of 1982. After graduation, she attended cosmetology school in Madison, WI before going to work in Janesville. Upon moving back home to Bagley, Jodi opened a hair salon in her parents’ store there. Jodi married William “Bill” Fischer on April 15, 1995, in Bagley. Together, they raised their two children in Prairie du Chien. In 2002, Jodi opened a hair salon in Prairie du Chien. She then worked in childcare and as an adult care worker until 2022. She was an avid Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed horses and going fishing.  Jodi loved following her children’s athletic events and traveled far and wide to attend. She loved her family greatly and cherished the time she was able to spend with them. She is survived by her husband of 28 years Bill; their two children Hali (Dylan) and Cory (Kristen) Fischer; her sister Lori (Darren) Geldard; and her two nephews Luke (Jenni) and Dylan Bernard. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Visitation will be Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien. Private inurnment will be at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery in Prairie du Chien. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
