John V. Konichek Jr.

John V. Konichek, age 46 of Prairie du Chien passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien. He was born August 14, 1974, in Prairie du Chien, the son of John and Linda (Hand) Konichek Sr. He attended Prairie du Chien High School before beginning work as a carpenter. He worked for Design Homes and Dillman Equipment in Prairie du Chien, Brennan Marine Company out of LaCrosse, WI, and he also held other positions with various other employers. John was a handy man who enjoyed mechanics and working on cars. If you were John’s friend, he considered you family. He is survived by his children Brandon, Cameron, Hailey, Austin, Eli, and Emily Konichek and Kaleb Oldfather; his father John Konichek Sr. His sisters Kimberly (Aaron) Maag, Brenda (Walton) Ready, and Dana (Corey) Beardmore; his grandson Devin Konichek; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Devin Konichek; his mother Linda Konichek; his uncles Larry and LaVern Konichek; his niece Alyssa Heginger and nephew Adam Beardmore.   

A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at a later date.
