John V. Konichek Sr.

John V. Konichek Sr., age 82 of Boscobel, WI passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, at Gundersen Health System in Boscobel, WI. He was born on April 17, 1943, to Joe and Alta (Balzell) Konichek. John married Linda Hand on February 3, 1968, at the United Methodist Church in Prairie du Chien. He worked as an operator at the 3M Company in Prairie du Chein for 38 years until retirement. John enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. John’s wife Linda preceded him in death on August 15, 2018. He is survived by his children Kimberly (Aaron) Maag, Brenda (Walton) Ready, and Dana (Corey) Beardmore; 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son John Konichek Jr.; 2 brothers Lavern and Larry Konichek; and grandchildren Adam Beardmore, Alyssa Heginger, and Devin Konichek.

Funeral Services will be Friday, August 1, 2025 at 12:30 P.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
