John V. Shaw

John V. Shaw age 92 of McGregor passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.  He was born June 7, 1928 in Chariton, IA the son of John and Zulma (Lanning) Shaw. He married Mary Hansen on December 15, 1951 in Des Moines, IA.  Sadly, Mary preceded John in death on November 20, 2020. Together they both worked for the Public Service Company of Colorado until their retirement. They enjoyed bowling, golf and vacationing around the country.

He is survived by his brother Vance Shaw, son Michael (Nancy) and his daughter Beckie Patton, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  John was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, 1 sister and his wife.

According to John’s wishes there will be no formal funeral services.
