John Frederick Tesar Jr.

John F. Tesar Jr., age 77 of Prairie du Chien passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Prairie du Chien on November 18, 1946, the son of John Sr. and Jean (Campbell) Tesar. John began schooling in Prairie du Chien and later graduated from West Grant High School with the class of 1965. John married Sharon Bradley on August 3, 1968, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Glen Haven, WI. Together, they raised their family in Prairie du Chien. John began work at the 3M Company in Prairie du Chien in 1970. He remained there for 34 years until his retirement in 2004. John enjoyed hunting and ice fishing in his early years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Sharon; their son Tim Tesar; and 2 brothers Jim and Joe Tesar. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Kim Trappe, and sister Janet Boak.

According to John’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services at this time. Private inurnment will be held at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery in Prairie du Chien.
