Josey Florence Faye Johnson

Josey Florence Faye Johnson passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 12, 2023. She was born on January 2, 2004, to proud parents, Joseph F. Johnson Sr. and Aubrey F. Johnson. She was the New Year’s Baby that year and she enjoyed telling everyone that fact for years and years to come. She was positively the most beautiful baby girl to ever grace this earth. She had a kind, gentle soul that loved cats, music, fishing and making bead bracelets. She graduated from De Forest High School in 2022 and later went on to become a pre-school teacher at a nearby daycare. She is preceded in death by her Grandmother and namesake, Faye E. Johnson and a special Great Aunt Mary C. McKillip. She leaves behind many loving family members, namely her adoring parents Joseph F. Johnson, Sr. and Aubrey F. Johnson. Her best friend and brother, Joseph F. Johnson, Jr. (Frank). Her very special Great Grandmother and namesake Florence L. Jones. Her sidekick in all things fun, her Grandma Pamela J. Jones (Grandma Pammy). Her Grandfather Kenneth C. Johnson. Her special Uncles Mason J. Doyle (Hannah Jaros), Lee G. Nading, and Kent C. Johnson (Kira Johnson). A special Aunt Jessica M. Del Vecchio (Alex Del Vecchio). Lastly, her very special cousins Carson, Hunter, Bentley, and Archer.

A private service will be held at St. Ann-St. Joseph Catholic Church on March 21st, 2023, in Harpers Ferry, Iowa, followed by a private burial ceremony at Calvary Cemetery, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, where she will be placed lovingly near her Grandma Faye. All that knew her will remember her as a beautiful, bright, shining light that burned out too soon. Rest in Peace our baby girl, Mommy and Daddy love you.
