Judy Kay (Payne) Fisher

Judy K. Fisher, age 74 of Knoxville, IL, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021. She was born in Mt. Sterling, WI on December 9, 1946, the daughter of Milford and Judith (Grimsled) Payne. She graduated from Seneca High School in the class of 1964. Judy married Loyd Fisher on June 4, 1966, before moving to Knoxville, IL in 1974 where she worked in the school district for 29 years until retirement. She loved animals, particularly chickens. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting, and following the Green Bay Packers. She is survived by her children Brian and Peggy Fisher and Heidi (Robert) Johnson; her siblings Dale (Rochelle) Payne, Gary (Ann) Payne, James (Darlene) Payne, Vicki Linder, Bonnie (Butch) Boland, Debra (Lennie) Davidson, and Richard Payne; her grandchildren Ian, Miles, and Julia Johnson and Kile and Kade Fisher; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Julie Fisher and brother-in-law Bernard Linder.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Sterling Lutheran Church, Pastor Nile Sandeen officiating with burial in the Mt. Sterling Lutheran Cemetery, both in Mt. Sterling, WI. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services.
