Karen D. Valley, age 80 of Eau Claire, WI, formerly of Prairie du Chien passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. She was born October 1, 1941, the daughter of David and Mildred (Shulka) Tippery. She married Steve Valley on November 13, 1970, in Prairie du Chien. Together, they raised their family in the Prairie du Chien area. She owned and operated Karen’s Catering and also worked at McGregor Loudspeaker. Later Karen owned and operated Chester Fried Chicken in Prairie du Chien. She enjoyed Bible Study at St. Peter’s and was a huge Elvis fan.
Steve preceded her in death on May 19, 2017. She is survived by her children Steve (Michelle), Sheri (Donald) Peterson, Vicki Mundt, and Ron (Corrie). She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Floyd Tippery and son-in-law John Mundt.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 15, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Andy Doll officiating with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien.
