Kathleen A. (Martin) Powers

Kathleen A. Powers, age 67, of Prairie du Chien passed away Friday April 3, 2020 at her residence.  She was born March 7, 1953 in Prairie du Chien, WI the daughter of Cecil and Katherine (Hubbard) Martin.  She attended Prairie du Chien High School.  Kathleen married James Powers on January 27, 1973 at St. Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien.  She enjoyed reading books, crossword puzzles, and traveling with her husband by motorcycle.  She is survived by her husband of 47 years, James, her sons, Kenneth (Bert) and Jason Powers, brother, Cecil (Deanna) Martin, sisters, Ginny (Larry Dahms) Cooper, Cheryl (Matt) Corlett, and Sheila (Dave) Ingle, sister in law Debbie Powers, numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

 Out of respect and concern for public health and safety, a private family service will be held graveside at Calvary Cemetery in Prairie du Chien, WI with Monsignor Charles Stoetzel officiating.  A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be announced at a future date. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
