LeAnn M. Craig passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, at the age of 89 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 26, 1936, in Cassville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Margaret and Earl Flitsch. Her family later moved to Prairie du Chien where she grew up with her now deceased brothers and sister, Eugene, Karen and Robert. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy as valedictorian of her class, and the day after graduation moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she later met and married Allan R. Blohm (deceased) on July 2, 1955. Together they had seven children, Mary (Gary), Greg(Maureen), Paul (deceased), Julie (Jim), Lisa, Eric (Susan) and Thomas. Later in life she married Ronald Craig (deceased); moved back to Prairie du Chien, and became stepmother to Keith, Lori and Janet. LeAnn was the consummate mother, and her children were her biggest source of pride and “claim to fame”. She could not resist reciting the names of all her children, their dates and times of birth to anyone who would listen. Even though she battled dementia in the end, she never forgot the names of any of her children or grandchildren. She was a constant guide to her family; a source of comfort filled with unconditional love. LeAnn also loved crocheting and her many afghans will keep all those she loved warm and her memory close. She leaves behind her grandchildren: Hailey, Alex (Angie), Nicole (Chris), Courtney (Steve), Nick (Karolina), Dylan, Zach (Gabrielle), Tara-Rae, Kelsey, Taylor, Jennifer (Jared), Taylor, Leah and Tommy and 13 great-grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren: LeeAnn, Karis, Briana, Ronnie, Jennifer, Larry and Taylor; 4 step-great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all.
