Obituary

Lorna E. Rider, age 91 passed away peacefully in Hartford, WI. Lorna was born in Viroqua, WI, the daughter of Alfred and Dora (Pennell) Erickson. She married LaVerne Rider on December 13, 1943. Together, they worked the family farm in Wauzeka, WI for 24 years. In 1973, they moved to Prairie du Chien. Lorna worked as a CNA at the old General Hospital in Prairie du Chien. She also worked at the Prairie Convalescent Center nursing home until she retired. Lorna enjoyed quilting as well as other crafts. Lorna was an avid Brewer fan. She loved spending time with family. Lorna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Lorna is survived by her children; Noreen (Delbert) Edge, Dennis (Lily), Larry, Vickie (Paul) Reinke, Elaine (Larry) Campbell, and Ronald (Sheila); 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Lorna was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 64 years LaVerne, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 son-in-law.   

Funeral Services will be Friday, June 10, 2022, at 12:00 P.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
