Louis E. Geisler

Louis E. Geisler, age 83 of Prairie du Chien passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the University of Wisconsin Health System in Madison, WI. He was born September 4, 1937 in Charles City, IA, the son of Kenneth and Hilda (Cornwell) Geisler Sr. Louie worked for the Prairie du Chien Street Department until retirement in 1999. He enjoyed his daily walk, listening to country western music, and watching NASCAR races. Family meant everything to Louie. Some of his happiest moments were spent playing with his great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Prairie du Chien. Louis is survived by his wife Sharon; their daughters Debbie Geisler, and Kathy (Dan) Haefer; 4 grandchildren James (Sarah) Haefer, Jessica (Nick) Pedretti, Alyssa (Matt) Cram, and Bryan Yanna; and 4 great-grandchildren Julia Haefer, Addison and Bryson Pedretti, and Macaulay Cram. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Kenneth Geisler Jr. and Roger Geisler along with a sister Dolores (Virgil) Fette.

A Graveside Service will be Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Evergreen Cemetery in Prairie du Chien, Pastor Miranda Klosterboer officiating.
