Lyle M. Ahles

Lyle M. Ahles, age 92 of Prairie du Chien, WI passed peacefully on Monday, September 6, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 18, 1929, in Mosinee, WI, the son of Melvin and Verona (Hauk) Ahles. He was united in marriage with Rosalia Smet on December 22, 1956. Lyle served in the U.S. Army for eight years during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Rosalia; their children Wanda (Chad) Scott, Sharon (John) Jensen, Diane (Tom) Bouzek, Leslie (Karl) Fischer, and Donna Ahles; his brothers Bill, Hank (Joyce), and Ken (Lou Ann); 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Marion Retzlaff; and his granddaughter Shannon Fischer.  

Per Lyles’s request, there will be no formal funeral services. A family celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
