Margaret Ann (McCauley) "Peg" Stoeffler

Margaret A. “Peg” Stoeffler age 91 of Prairie du Chien passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse, WI.  She was born November 2, 1929 in Eastman, WI the daughter of Vincent and Mary (Garvey) McCauley.  She married John Stoeffler on January 22, 1955 at St. Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien.  John preceded her in death on November 8, 2004. Peg worked at the Prairie du Chien Convalescent Center and later at McDonald’s and the Kwik Trip in Prairie du Chien. She was active member of St. Gabriel’s Parish and enjoyed Bingo and playing cards.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis (Jerry) Tippery, Tammy Cram, Ken (Mary), Dennis (Tina), Steve, Tim (Tracy) and daughter in law Debbie Stoeffler, 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, a son Mike, her brother Vincent McCauley, her sisters, Alice Atchison, Agnes Berger, Marie McCauley and Helen Clements.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Msgr. Charles Stoetzel officiating, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien.  Friends may call on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien where there will be a wake scripture at 7:30 PM and also on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of departure for the church.  www.garrityfuneralhome.com
