Mark D. Trebus, age 63 of Prairie du Chien, formerly of Richland Center, WI, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, after his 8 year battle with brain cancer. He was born January 16, 1961, to Donald and Shannon (Wendt) Trebus in Portage WI, moving to Richland Center as a boy. Mark attended Richland Center High School with the class of 1979, and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. During his service, he lived in Colorado and California, traveling the country before returning home to Richland Center. Mark married Renee’ Pletzer on August 15, 1987 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Richland Center. Together they raised two daughters. Mark and Renee’ were later divorced. Mark worked for Lands’ End for 25 years before becoming a driver, mostly for the Amish in Southwest Wisconsin. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters Caitlin Trebus and Olivia (Timothy) Farmer; sister Gwen (John) Bennett; 6 grandchildren Alexandra, Skyler, and Alannah Trebus and Lillian, Samson, and Hudson Farmer; nieces Heather (Alex) Elvord and Ashlie (Tony) Ogello. He will also be dearly missed by the Rognholt family, who always accepted Mark as one of their own. He was preceded in death by his parents.
According to Mark’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services at this time. Instead, a celebration of life open house will be held on Sunday December 1st, from 11am to 3pm, at the Boaz Community Building.
