Marlin Louie Harnack

Marlin L. Harnack, age 77 of Prairie du Chien, WI, formerly of Postville, IA, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024, at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien. He was born April 28, 1947, to Harlan and Roberta “Frances” (Thornton) Harnack. Marlin graduated high school in Postville and remained at home where he worked on the family dairy farm. Marlin later moved to Prairie du Chien, where he’s been a part of the community since 1987. He loved to play cards, especially at the Eagle’s Club in Prairie du Chien. He is survived by his children Sue (Bob) Pierce and Bill (Peggy) Harnack; 3 grandchildren Ryan (Elisha) Roth, Chase Harnack, and Cody (Fiancée Mariah Kucera) Schwietert; 4 great-grandchildren Asher and Arabella Schwietert, Parker Ingles and Gannon Roth; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Clifford and Judy Harnack.

Visitation will be Friday, September 6, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien. Inurnment will be Friday, September 13, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. in the Postville Cemetery in Postville, IA.
