Mary J. Bohnenkamp, age 66 of Prairie du Chien passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at her home. She was born March 28, 1958, to Lavern and Clementine (Blum) Sedbrook. Mary grew up in Glen Haven, WI and graduated from Bloomington High School with the class of 1976. She then furthered her education to become a pharmacy technician and later worked at Hartig Drug in Prairie du Chien for many years. She also worked as bartender and hostess at Kaber’s Supper Club, currently known as The Blackhawk, as well as Jones’ Black Angus, both in Prairie du Chien. Mary loved Wisconsin sports, especially the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. She also loved traveling and spending time with friends. She is survived by 5 brothers Greg, Michael (Judy), Patrick, Peter (Nancy), and Tom Sedbrook; 3 sisters Beth Potter, Verna Ackerman, and Rita (Alan) Rustad; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Jerry Potter.
Memorial Service will be Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 6:30 P.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, Fr. Brandon Guenther officiating with private inurnment at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service. Memorials may be made in Mary’s name to Holy Family Parish in Prairie du Chien or to a nonprofit organization of your choice. Mary’s family asks that you wear your favorite Badger or Packer attire as Mary was an avid fan of both teams.
