Michael Paul Igou

Michael P. “Jake” Igou age 68 of Prairie du Chien passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Garden View Place in Monona, IA.  He was born December 11, 1953, in Prairie du Chien the son of Paul and Delores (Valley) Igou. Jake worked as a house parent for Wyalusing Academy in Prairie du Chien for over 20 years.  Later he worked as a corrections officer for the Prairie du Chien Correctional Institution for over 20 years until his retirement. Jake was an avid golfer and loved the outdoors, especially hunting ginseng.  He is survived by his brothers Terry (Kathy), Ronald (Kelly), Tom (Deena) and Brian (Jen Lochner) Igou.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien.  The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
