Muriel Diane Kramer, beloved sister, wife, mother and grandmother passed away on June 16, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born to Harry and Marcella (Wilkinson) Grimsled on October 11, 1950, and lived in the Seneca area throughout her life. She married Mark Kramer on November 15, 1969, at St Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Eastman. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Angelique, Kayla and Steven. Muriel helped her husband run a dairy farm and worked outside the home in a variety of positions where she made many good friends. She most enjoyed her work as a blackjack dealer, which started on December 26, 1994, when the Miss Marquette Riverboat Casino opened. She remained a dealer on the “boat” through changes in name and uniforms until her retirement on April 1, 2017. Muriel was proud of her Norwegian heritage making Blodklubb, rosettes, lutefisk and lefse. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved to start a new project - she even managed to finish a few. Her favorite past-time was being with family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching school and sporting events, and taking vacations with family to Yellowstone, Niagara Falls, Washington DC and the Smoky Mountains. She also cherished long weekend visits with her mother, aunt and sisters, to shop and see shows at the Fireside Dinner Theatre. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark; children Angelique (Tim) Boerst, Kayla (Rob) Chambers and Steven (Becky) Kramer; grandchildren Margaret, Anna and Jonathan Boerst, Kolton, Kendra and Kylie Chambers and Laney, Miles and Betsy Kramer; sisters Sandy (Steve) Rotier, Penny (Dennis) Lenzendorf, Dixie Grimsled, Denise (Dean) Lenzendorf; brothers Jay (Kristy) Grimsled, Jeff (Sue) Grimsled; sisters-in-law Sue (Phil) Scheckel, Molly Scheckel, Sally Emerson; brother-in-law Scott (Jan) Kramer along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marcella Grimsled and in-laws, Floyd and Betty Kramer, sister-in-law Marilyn Cody, brothers-in-law William Cody, Jr and Bob Scheckel. The family would like to thank Dr. Oettel and the Gundersen team for providing honest and compassionate care following her diagnosis of lung cancer. We also extend our sincerest appreciation to the staff at Crossing Rivers Hospice, especially Katy, Brittney, Tisha, Sophie and Annette, for leading us gracefully on an unwanted journey. Your support and kindness allowed us to make the most of each day.
