Robert L. “Bob” Mullikin, age 78 of rural Prairie du Chien passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Boscobel, WI on July 29, 1945, the son of Elbert and Illene (Krachey) Mullikin. Bob grew up in Wauzeka and graduated from Wauzeka High School with the class of 1964. In his younger years, Bob excelled as a baseball, basketball, and track athlete. He even tried out for the Milwaukee Braves. Following school, he worked various jobs around Wisconsin before settling back home between Prairie du Chien and Wauzeka. Bob married Carol Cipra on November 28, 1964, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien and together, they raised 5 children. Bob began his own business and worked in construction for most of his life. He enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol; their children Jeff (Tammy) Mullikin, Brenda (Jim) Wagner, Vicki (Bruce) Waller, Bruce (Cheryl) Mullikin, and Amy (Kirk) Hamann; siblings Mary Havens, Barbara (Dan) Massman, Kathy Look, Mike (Julie) Mullikin, Charlotte Adams, Allan (Carmen) Mullikin, and Sharon (Ed) Bulawa; 24 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings David, Bonnie, Steven, and John Mullikin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. at St. John’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Msgr. Charles Stoetzel officiating with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass.
