Robert Raymond Wallin

Robert R. Wallin, age 92 of Prairie du Chien passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Great River Care Center in McGregor, IA. He was born on July 3, 1929, the son of Charles and Marian (Horal) Wallin. He married Geraldine Kasparek on June 10, 1953. Together they farmed and raised their family in the Bagley area. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He also worked at John Deere in Dubuque, IA and was an active member of the VFW and Eagle’s Club. Geraldine preceded him in death on March 26, 1990. He is survived by his children Janet, Dennis, Dan, and Robert (Kye) Wallin, and Brenda (Louis) Galante; his sisters Norma Wagner and Wilma Smith; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Frederick, Charles, and James Wallin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 1, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Msgr. Charles Stoetzel officiating with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the Garrity Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and also on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of departure for church.
