Roger Champion Obituary

Roger E. Champion, age 79 of Prairie du Chien, WI passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien. He was born March 23, 1941 in Prairie du Chien, the son of John and Hazel (Quinn) Champion. He graduated from Bagley High School and later married Diane Sedlmayr in 1980 in Copeland Park in LaCrosse, WI. Roger was humorous and quick-witted. He was a terrific fisherman, great mechanic, and a good carpenter.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Diane; his children of a previous marriage Jeff Champion, Jim Champion, and Julie (Brian) Kohlmann; his nieces Shelli McLimans and Susie Redman; his nephew David Champion; his sister-in-law Sally Esser-Champion; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Robert and John Ronald; and his sister Eileen.

Per Roger’s wishes, a Graveside Service will be at a later date, with interment in the Bagley Cemetery in Bagley, WI.
