Ronald David Sutton

Ronald D. Sutton age 78, of Prairie du Chien passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at his home in Prairie du Chien, WI.  He was born on January 4, 1943 in Prairie du Chien, the son of Amos and Amy (Davis) Sutton.  He was a graduate of Prairie du Chien High School.  Ronald married June Schnitzler on July 24, 1986 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Hampton, IA.  He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was employed by the 3M Company in Prairie du Chien for 34 years. Ron also served as a volunteer firefighter and was a member of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Posse. He was preceded in death by his wife June on June 4, 2020.  Ron is survived by his children, David (Rhonda) Sutton and Amy (Aaron) Baum, Melanie (Anthony) Krueger, Jordan (Nicole) and Clarke (Danyelle) Sutton, grandchildren, Mason, Carter, Harper, Lilly, Gracie, Landry, Hailey, Hunter, Ben, Joe and Conner, one great grandchild on the way, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his brothers, George and Douglas along with his sister Maxine Iverson.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien.  Military honors will be accorded by the Prairie du Chien Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
