Rosemary Ann (Rodenkirch) Novey

Rosemary A. Novey, age 96 of Prairie du Chien passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Bluff Haven in Prairie du Chien. She was born April 10, 1928, to Edward and Elizabeth (Fleeman) Rodenkirch. Rosemary married Joseph Novey on July 20, 1957, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien. She and her husband worked at National Decorated Metals before working as the receptionist at Wyalusing Academy, both in Prairie du Chien. She also worked locally at Quality Beverage and the Villa Louis gift shop for several years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and bowling. She loved spending time on Wisconsin River sandbars with her family and friends. Her husband Joseph preceded her in death on May 30, 2019. She is survived by her children Bryan Novey and Mary Day; grandchildren Alicia (Jeff) Zehner, Jeremy, and Dustin Millin; great-granddaughter Mercedes; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Edward Rodenkirch, Mugs Kramer, and Betty Jean Borne; and sons-in-law Lee Millin and Dick Day.    

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Fr. Brandon Guenther officiating with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the Garrity Funeral Home on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 4:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M. and also at the funeral home an hour prior to Mass.
