Ruth M. Critchlow, age 93 of Bloomington, WI passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at her home. She was born April 11, 1931, to Ray and Nina (Shrake) Allbee. Ruth married Charles W. Critchlow on December 31, 1948, and together they raised 3 children. Ruth worked on the family farm before working as a certified nursing assistant at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital until retirement. She was an active member of the Royal Neighbors and served as an emergency medical technician for 13 years. She was a talented seamstress who also enjoyed painting and cake decorating. She loved family gatherings and cherished their time together spent around the holidays. Ruth adored her grandchildren and considered their birth a special gift. Ruth’s husband Charles preceded her in death on December 21, 2000. She is survived by her daughter Linda Biggin; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons Gean and Charles F. Critchlow; 2 brothers Arthur and Bennie Allbee and 4 sisters Wilma Valley, Maragaret Allbee, Lerena Bronson, and Belva Wolfe.
Funeral Services will be Friday, August 30, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, with burial in the Bloomington Cemetery in Bloomington, WI. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Crossing Rivers Hospice.
