Ruth Marie (Stram) Lessard

Ruth M. Lessard age 74, of Prairie du Chien passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI.  She was born on July 19, 1948, in Prairie du Chien the daughter of Charles and Roselyn (Shulka) Stram.  Ruth attended Prairie du Chien high school.  She married Louie Lessard on September 12, 1966, at St Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien and later divorced.  Ruth was employed by the 3M Company for over 30 years until her retirement.  She enjoyed embroidering, cross stitching, and was an avid fisherwoman.  Ruth would even snag a bull frog.  Just like her mother Rose, she was a dedicated Milwaukee Brewer fan.  Most of all Ruth, loved spending time with her family.  Ruth is survived by her children Kevin and Jennifer (Kevin Bohland) Lessard; grandchildren: David (Caitlyn), John (Heather), and Randie Lessard; her brothers: Kenny, Roger (Jean), Donnie (Janet) Stram; her sisters: Karen Boom and Bonnie (Gerald) Lansing, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother David Stram, and her former husband.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Msgr. Charles Stoetzel officiating with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the Garrity Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. where there will be a rosary at 4:30 P.M., and also at the funeral home on Wednesday an hour prior to departure for the church. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
