Ruth Ann (Welsch) Moris

Ruth A. Moris, age 87 of Prairie du Chien passed away peacefully Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Bluff Haven Assisted Living in Prairie du Chien surrounded by her family. She was born in Prairie du Chien on May 10, 1937, the daughter of Clarence and Wilhelmina (Campbell) Welsch. Ruth graduated from Prairie du Chien High School with the Class of 1954. She married Cyril Moris on April 30, 1955, and together they raised five children. She worked at 3M Company for many years until retirement. Ruthie was a strong believer in her Catholic faith. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grand-babies, playing cards, gambling, watching her Hallmark movies and the Packers (when they were winning). She is survived by her children Terry (Jeanne) Moris, Vicki (Jiggs) Davis, Connie (Tony) Tarront, Karen (Rich) Shulka, Peggy (Dan) Bauer; siblings Rita (Larry) Hinkel, Linda Schneider, Floyd Welsch and Maxine Krogman; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Jeanne Novey, Clarence "Chico" Welsch and George "Poncho" Welsch and granddaughter Maria Rose Davis. 

A mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Gabriel's Church of the Holy Family Parish, Msgr. Charles Stoetzel officiating with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at church on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of mass.
