Scott F. Plondke age 53 of Prairie du Chien passed away on Monday December 10, 2018 at Soldiers Grove Health Services in Soldiers Grove, WI following an extended illness. Scott was born on February 5, 1965 to Fred and Irene (Heisz) Plondke in Prairie du Chien, WI. He graduated from Wahlert High School in Dubuque, IA and went on to play basketball at UW Madison, the University of Northern Iowa and later for Coach Bo Ryan at UW Platteville. Scott enjoyed coaching high school basketball at Wauzeka, River Ridge and Fennimore High Schools. He worked as a corrections officer for the State of Wisconsin and loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his children Dakota of Sparta, WI, Ashley and Bailey Plondke both of Madison, his father Fred Plondke of Bagley, WI, his mother Irene (Wayne) Mitchell of Prairie du Chien, his sisters, Theresa (Todd) Mathison of LaCrosse, WI and Julie (Eric) Fuller of Bagley, his brother Dan (Becky) Plondke of Charlotte, NC along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday December 13, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Reverend James Weighner officiating, with burial in the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Eastman, WI. Friends may call on Wednesday December 12, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien.
