Sharon M. Geisler, age 84 of Prairie du Chien passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien. She was born on September 10, 1939, in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of James and Violet (Hepburn) Wiswall. Sharon moved to Wauzeka, WI as a child and grew up there, graduating from Wauzeka High School with the class of 1956. She met Louis Geisler, and they were later married in June of 1960 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Wauzeka. Sharon worked at Hardee’s in Prairie du Chien until her retirement in 2012. She enjoyed going out to eat, car rides, and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Family meant everything to her. She was an active member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Prairie du Chien. Sharon is survived by her daughters Debbie Geisler and Kathy (Dan) Haefer; 4 grandchildren James (Sarah) Haefer, Jessica (Nick) Pedretti, Alyssa (Matt) Cram, Bryan (Elizabeth) Yanna; 6 great-grandchildren Julia and Grace Haefer, Addison and Bryson Pedretti, Macauly and Liam Cram. She was preceded in death by her husband Louie, her parents, and her sister Margaret “Peggy” Dring.
According to Sharon’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Private inurnment will be held at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery in Prairie du Chien.
