Sherry M. Silvers

Sherry Silvers, age 67, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Crossing Rivers Hospital.  She was the only beloved daughter of Raymond and Marilyn (Gibbs) Kellogg born on August 5, 1951 in Dubuque IA.  She married her loving husband, Ernest John Silvers on August 16, 1969 in Boscobel.

Sherry was a well respected business owner for over 40 years.  She operated a state licensed purebred dog kennel and was an honored AKC and CKC breeder.  She volunteered for the first Prairie du Chien Humane Society and provided a pet rescue facility for dogs and birds.

Sherry is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ernest John Silvers of Bagley, her 4 children, Shelly (Jim)Mezera,  Tina Sue (Mark)Hullermann both of Mt Hope, John R. (Heather) Silvers of McGregor, IA, and Joshua (Jennifer) Silvers of Patch Grove.  She is survived by 13 grand children who all brought joy and provided hospice nursing care for Sherry so she could remain in her home until she entered her rest.  Grandchildren are, Cody (Natasha), Heather, Justin, Jason, Megan, Colton, Maraya, Jaxson and Jazalyn Mezera, Mason Hullermann, Madelyn (Sam ) Jacobson, Averiana Silvers and Brynlee Silvers and  4 great grand children, Owen, Parker, Kaisen, and one unborn great grandchild and her beloved dog, Miah (“MiMi”)

She was the sister of Mike (Joannie), Larry (Jeanne), Ron (Susan) and Jody Kellogg.  She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Marilyn Kellogg and great grandmother Lucy (Gibbs)Wells.

Family and friends are planning a Celebration of Life observance for October 13, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Hope Public Park Pavilion.  The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.  In lieu of flowers, cards, memorials or contributions can be made to the family.
