Thomas Joseph Mezera

Thomas Joseph Mezera, 76, of Moline, IL passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 in Moline.

He was born in Prairie du Chien, WI on May 10, 1946; son of the late Joseph L. Mezera and Elizabeth (Walters) Mezera.

Mr. Mezera is survived by two sisters, Eileen Johnson, of Redfield, AR, and Margene Cataloni of Lancaster, CA. His twin brother, Donald (Linda) Mezera preceded him in death.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including: Katie (Steve) James-Holland of Redfield, AR; Susie (Eric) Maynard of Redfield, AR; Leigh Anne James, of Redfield, AR. Chad (Cathy) Mezera of Morgantown, WV; Jill (Mike) Fisher of Powder Springs, GA and Ann (Matt) Eastham of Amissville, VA as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Mezera retired from the John Deere Tractor company.

His hobbies included being an avid sports fan and watching and discussing baseball and college football. Seems like there wasn’t anyone that he wouldn’t engage in a lively conversation about sports and sport history. Further, he loved dogs but insisted on calling them all “Digger”.

Additionally, he enjoyed travelling, visiting state parks and waterfalls and spending time with his friends and family.

A Graveside Service will be Friday, July 21, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the Calvary Cemetery Columbaria Circle in Prairie du Chien.
