We will always remember all the laughter, joy and fun times we had when we were youngsters.Even as a young girl you had that absolute love for animals and carried it thru out your life.It saddens all hearts to lose another member of the Burns clan, you will always hold a special place in our hearts Lexi.

I am lucky to have known Alexis as a fellow lover of Border Collies.  When Alexis came to our farm looking for a Border Collie pup, I only had one left from the current litter, and I'd planned to keep her.  Alexis was so sincere in wanting the pup I'd named "Sparky" that I finally let Sparky go.  Alexis changed "Sparky" to "Gem" due to experiencing a dog that she didn't like all that well named "Sparky".  Alexis gave "Gem" the best life any dog could ever have...She taught Gem, cared for Gem and most of all, loved Gem, and I think that Gem loved her back as much as any dog or person ever could.  Alexis emailed me that her dear Gem was about to go over the Rainbow Bridge earlier this year.  Now, Alexis and Gem are back together...happy and  healthy...

Alexis - how I will miss your laugh and our once in awhile phone catch ups.  Can't believe it has been 13 years since I've been gone - yet you hold a very special place in my heart.  Your grace and willingness to always, always help have taught me grand lessons.  We should all be more like you.

So saddened to hear of Alexis passing. I will miss her and our short visits more than I can say. Such a creative person and so humble at the same time. A loving, caring person, I can say I will never meet again in my lifetime. Such a loss for the Burns family and the community. She will be forever in my heart.

I am so saddened to hear of Alexis' passing.  She was a wonderful teacher and talented artist and my mother and I enjoyed her classes at Scotlin Ceramics.  In reading about her accomplishments, I find it admirable how she manifested her generous spirit in the world.
