Charles F. “Grandpa Charlie” Critchlow age 65 of Bloomington died suddenly Monday, April 10, 2017 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, IA.  He was born April 4, 1952 in Prairie du Chien, WI the son of Charles and Ruth (Allbee) Critchlow.  He married Sherri Svacina on September 25, 1971 in Prairie du Chien. Charles owned and operated the Wisconsin River Valley / Starlite Sawmill and had recently retired from John Deere in 2011.  He worked as an EMT for the Bloomington Rescue Squad and was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper.  He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sherri Critchlow of Bloomington, his daughters, Stacy Critchlow of Lancaster, WI, Rhonda (Tim) Kittle of Tulsa, OK and Teri Critchlow of Prairie du Chien, his mother Ruth Critchlow of Bloomington, his brother Gean (Pam) Critchlow of Lancaster, his sister Linda (Bill) Biggin of Georgia, his grandchildren, Rachel, April, David, Jordan, KC, Alycia, Myquela, Sam, Kevin, Blaine, Mark, Kiddo, Kyle and Andrew.  He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial gathering will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, WI.  A private family inurnment will be later.
