Rest in peace Mr. Bauer. I was from the class of'72 at Wauzeka High. I enjoyed my class I had with you.
We had fun with you on our senior trip to Northern Wisconsin.

I taught with Don for 5 years in Wauzeka (1973-78) and remember him with fondness. He and I were chaperones for the senior class trip to Washington, D.C. I loved hearing his historical patter as we traveled. He is also the man who taught many staff members to swim at Hoffman Hall...for which I am ever grateful. We lost touch after he retired but I know that he was a man who will stay in the memory of all who knew him. My sincere condolences to his family.

I enjoyed my frequent visits with Don at Prairie Maison as he would bring me up to date on all the important games and sports news. I will always remember him, a very interesting, kind and gentle man. Rest in Peace, Don.

Rest in peace, Mr. Bauer. You made a difference in my life during my high school days at Wauzeka, in the classroom, on the court, and on the track field.
