Ruth and family, I am so sorry to hear of Kelly's death. He was one great guy.
I got to know him at the Richland Hospital where I was in the office for a short
time while he was lab head. Shortly after he move to Pairie Du Chien, I joined the lab staff here at Richland Center . Later I was a member of the Rural Coop Purchasing Group where we saw Kelly almost monthly. He was
a wealth of information in his field, he was also the life of the party. I never saw him without a smile and talked about his family often. (Especially his
grandchildren). When I retired in 2008, he told me he was invious and was
looking forward to retirement and fun with his family. We will all surely miss him. My sympathy to all of you. Remember the joy his smile brought
to all of us.

Dear Ruth and Family,
I am so very sorry to hear of your sudden loss of Kelly. I worked in the Radiology department for one short year (1998-99), but let me tell you, It was one great year. Kelly was a wonderful mentor, manager, co-worker and friend. May God bless you all as you move forward through the tough days ahead, and may He comfort Kelly in His arms.

Dear Ruth, Kris, John and family,
We are truly sorry for your loss. We wish that we could be with you through this time of great sadness. We loved Kelly and will always remember how easy and fun it was to be his friend. He enjoyed life and was such a great person to work with. Kelly and Pat worked together for 33 years. I think of all the good advice that Kelly gave to me through the years. Kelly always had a twinkle in his eye and he loved to tell stories about his two grandchildren. Kris and Matt, we saw numerous pictures of the boys and lots of stories. Ruth, you and Kelly were such a great match, always together and playfully going through life , a tribute to both of you Ruth. We are with you through thought, prayer, and reflection. We are taking time today to honor Kelly, our friend and mentor to Pat.
May God grant Kelly Eternal Rest and comfort to his family.

One of the many things I remember about Kelly is the contagious smile he seemed to always have on his face. It's a sign of true happiness. To me, Kelly was a father figure. His concern for our many antics was obvious, but he seemed to understand that we needed space to grow and experience life in our own way, and yet he seemed to always be there for us when, not if, we needed. I so, so, so miss the visits to the Mundt house when Aunt Shelby would come. The laughter between Kelly, Shelby, Ruth, John and Kristin was infectious, and at times it seemed like the whole house was shaking with chuckles. I am sad that Aidan and Liam will not get to experience more of Grandpa's laughter, but happy for them that they at least got to see a taste of the effects of him. Kelly and Ruth seemed to be the perfect couple, and the best constant for such a floundering child such as myself. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to grow up with this family and will sadly miss my other "father". Ruth, I wish you sustenance and peace. John, please smile when you think of your dad, since you shared so many happy times. And Kristin, know in your heart that he was so very proud of you, and that you carry him in your heart still. I am very sorry to hear of Kelly's sudden death. I met Kelly through various lab organizations over the years. He was a great person with an upbeat spirit and served all the patients he came in contact with a kind, compassionate spirit. Today, he was fondly remembered at the Rural Wisconsin Hospital Coop Lab Roundtable meeting in Sauk City.
