Beba B. Cecka age 93 of Prairie du Chien passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Appleton, WI.  She was born May 31, 1923 in Richland Center, WI the daughter of William and Leona (Hillesheim) Durnford.  She married William “Tony” Cecka on May 13, 1944.  He preceded her in death on May 31, 1997.  Beba worked as a beautician in Madison and later assisted her husband in operating the family business, Tony’s Grill in Prairie du Chien, for many years.  She was an active member of St. John’s Church in Prairie du Chien.  She is survived by her children, Bruce (Michele) of Appleton, WI, Jan (Sharon) of Plymouth, WI, Kevin (Lynette) of Pewaukee, WI and Sheila (Dave) Taylor of Tomah, WI, her sister Betty Hillery of Winter Springs, FL, her grandchildren, Amy, Erin, Emily, Rachael, Brian, Megan, Patrick, Jessica (Vee), Chelsey (Bryan) and Mike along with her great grandchildren, Willa, Mason, Dawson, Xander and Owen.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister VivaO’Dota Groh.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Rev. James Weighner officiating with burial in the Calvary Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien.  Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Holy Family Parish.
