We are so sorry to hear this bad news. Our condolences to Jan and the entire Stluka family. We knew Dick from music and great music he did play. I had the great fortune to play some of that music with Dick He was an outstanding drummer and an even better person with a great sense humor. We know Dick will be joining his musician buds, Verne Meisner, Bill Hageman, Carl Hartmann, and Paul Budan . It was a great group and Dick was part of that greatness. All will miss him.... RIP my friend.

Although I only knew Richard for a few years back in the 1970's I felt he was a loving parent and friend. He always offered good advise when asked for. Also, he had great jokes to tell. I feel "Life goes on" and expect he now is reunited with Dick.

With Sympathy,
Shari Huffaker

So long Dick. It has been a wonderful experience having you as a close friend as well as being able to have your great drumming experience setting that solid beat for us that you were so well known for. The band trips were always a fun time with you, Bill, Carl, Paul and Bob Thompson. Going fishing with you on the Mississippi River for walleyes was so rewarding.

Our sincere condolences to Jan and the family. He will be missed by all.
